Guide | Our Tips for Stylishly Layering Necklaces

Layering necklaces has become very trendy in recent years and continues to captivate us today. In just a few moments, this way of wearing necklaces adds a cutting-edge, fashionable touch to any look, whether for everyday wear or a night out.

What necklace lengths should you choose for a stylish layered look?

Step 1: Choose a choker that is about 38–40 cm long

Step 2: Choose a necklace with a “classic” length of about 45 cm. This is the essential piece for layering because it pairs easily with shorter and longer styles, and it’s also a very comfortable length to wear every day.

Step 3: Choose a longer necklace that’s about 50–60 cm long, or a long necklace that’s 70–80 cm long.

(Note: Be sure to measure your neck circumference carefully before selecting the different lengths. Example: If your neck circumference is 40 cm, start by adding a 45 cm length for Step 1.)

For a trendy layered look, we recommend mixing materials: simple or link chains, freshwater pearls, zirconium oxides, colorful natural stone beads…

Depending on your outfit for the day and your mood, you can go from a simpler layered look with two necklaces to a more elaborate layered look with three necklaces.

It’s also worth considering the style you want to achieve with your look. You can choose to focus on delicate necklaces or add dimension with bolder pieces featuring oversized links. The key is to find the right balance so that each piece of jewelry stands out and none of them get lost among the others.

For this layered look with a rather romantic style, we've paired the following necklaces:

Worn close to the neck, the “Judith” necklace, adjustable from 38 to 42 cm
Just below it, the “Amaury” necklace, adjustable to 38, 40, 42, and 45 cm
And last but not least, the “Birdy” necklace , adjustable to 40, 42, and 45 cm

This second look is based on a more bohemian style, combining:
