To help you choose the length that suits you best, we offer two methods. Please note that the length of the chain also depends on your height and neck size.
Method 1: Measure your necklace
For this first method, find a necklace or chain that you like the length of and want to replicate.
1 - Place your necklace on a ruler or measuring tape
2 - Measure the length of the necklace from the clasp to the opposite end
Method 2: Measure your neck circumference
For this second method, all you need is either a measuring tape (sewing tape) or a piece of string.
1 - Wrap your measuring tape or string around your neck
2 - Adjust your tool to achieve the desired length for your collar
3 - Make a mark on your string, then measure it on a ruler or tape measure up to the mark you made. If you used a tape measure to take the measurement, simply write down the length you found
P.S.: Here’s a quick tip: Add an extensionto easily and quickly lengthen your necklaces (by 3 to 5 cm).
Bracelets
Many of our bracelets are adjustable or come in different sizes to best fit your wrists.
Just as with necklaces, there are two methods you can use to determine your wrist size and the appropriate bracelet length.
Method 1: Measure your wrist
For this first method, all you need is your favorite bracelet and a ruler or measuring tape.
1 - Place your bracelet flat on your measuring tool
2 - Measure from the clasp to the other end
Method 2: Measure your wrist
For this second method, use a measuring tool (tape measure or string).
1 - Wrap your measuring tape around your wrist
2 - Adjust it so that it is neither too tight nor too loose (to prevent the bracelet from falling off)
3 - If you're using a piece of string, mark it with a pencil at the desired length, then transfer the measurement to a ruler. If you used a tape measure, simply write down the measurement you obtained

Instants Plaisirs some care tips and tricks to help Instants Plaisirs look after your precious jewelry so it lasts for years to come ♡
We offer three different materials on our website:
- The 3-micron gold-plated jewelry 18-karat
- The 925 sterling silver jewelry (Rhodium-plated or unplated, depending on the model)
- The costume jewelry : In gold- or silver-plated stainless steel
Key features: No matter the material, all our jewelry is freshwater-resistant.
Our delicate jewelry is designed to accompany you in your daily life and is often worn in layers. Sometimes subjected to rough handling during the day, it needs—just like us—some rest and pampering. Here is a brief care guide:
- In the morning, put on your jewelry after you’ve finished getting ready (avoiding contact with perfume or cosmetics).
- During the day, remove them before any physical activity, swimming, or household chores, and store them in your Instants Plaisirs pouches or cases.
- In the evening, clean them thoroughly with a soft cloth or chamois before storing them individually in your Instants Plaisirs pouches or cases, away from moisture.
When traveling, we recommend that you store your jewelry in separate pouches or cases to prevent it from getting damaged by other pieces.
If, despite these precautions, your jewelry starts to tarnish or leave black marks on your skin, a more thorough cleaning is necessary:
Fill a bowl with warm water and Marseille soap, submerge your jewelry, and gently clean it using a soft-bristled brush or a soft cloth, depending on the delicacy of the pieces. Rinse them with clean water and dry them with a soft, clean, dry cloth.

Caring for Gold-Plated Jewelry
What is gold-plated jewelry?
Gold-plated jewelry is made of metal (such as brass) covered with a layer of gold. All of our gold-plated jewelry features an 18-karat gold plating that is 3 microns thick. This type of plating is required to qualify as “gold-plated” in France. Less expensive than gold jewelry but with a beautiful golden luster and lasting quality, gold-plated jewelry holds an important place in our jewelry boxes, and it is for all these reasons that we love to offer it to you on our website.
How do you care for and clean gold-plated jewelry?
Gold-plated jewelry, just like silver, can lose its luster over time. Several factors can affect its condition over the years. To keep it looking its best for as long as possible, we recommend removing your gold-plated jewelry when going to the beach or the ocean, avoiding exposure to cosmetics (perfume, creams, etc.), and taking it off for household chores and sports.
To clean your gold-plated jewelry and restore its shine, nothing could be simpler: use a soft cloth (or a chamois) and soapy water to gently clean it. Dry it gently with a clean, dry cloth.
When you are not wearing your jewelry, store it in its case or pouch, in a dry place away from light.
Caring for 925 sterling silver jewelry
What is 925 sterling silver jewelry?
925 silver jewelry meets the 925/1000 standard. This means that such jewelry is composed of at least 92.5% pure silver. To make it malleable and maintain a certain degree of hardness, other metals—such as copper—are added to the alloy.
Please note that most of our silver jewelry is rhodium-plated. An additional layer of rhodium is applied to protect it.
How do you care for and clean silver jewelry?
This precious metal naturally tarnishes and darkens over time when exposed to air and moisture. Several factors can influence how a piece of silver jewelry changes over the years. In particular, the acidity of the skin, which varies from person to person. To slow down oxidation, we recommend removing your small silver jewelry when swimming in the ocean or a pool, as well as when doing household chores and engaging in sports. It is also advisable to avoid contact with cosmetics such as perfume.
Don't worry! To clean your silver jewelry, use a soft cloth, such as a chamois. Then gently rub your jewelry. For a more thorough cleaning, there are specific products available in stores, such as cleaning solutions and kits.
Finally, keep your jewelry in a dry place, in its case, away from light, when you are not wearing it.

What is stainless steel jewelry?
Stainless steel is a great option when choosing jewelry. In fact, in addition to being affordable, stainless steel jewelry is both durable and resistant to tarnishing over time.
How do you care for and clean stainless steel jewelry?
Cleaning them is easy: just use a soft cloth and gently wipe the jewelry. That's all there is to it!
